This tournament featured the closest collection of games ever seen at once. Danqvest defeated LonelyMonk by 12 points, CaptC defeated Curadhan by ~50 points, jdripley defeated Qwyksilver by <100>

Each character individually received an invitation from the Vanderboren family. The invitation included lunch (fish) and an offer – restore the family fortune.

The group learned:

• The Jade Ravens work for the Vanderborens
• The Vanderboren parents died recently in a boat fire
• Lavinia Vanderboren is now in debt
• One Vanderboren vault signet ring is lost
• The other is on the Blue Nixie
• The Blue Nixie is impounded for docking fees
• Lavinia paid the docking fees to Soller Vark, but Vark denied taking it
• Vanthus Vanderboren disappeared over a month ago

The group Gathered Information in Merchant and Shadowshore. Gal learned that Vark was a known small timer in Shadowshore. The Blue Nixie was moved off the pier into the middle of the harbor.

The group assaulted the Blue Nixie under cover of darkness, killing Sollar Vark and most of the thugs. The thugs started a fire in the hold, which released a nasty spider monster, which the party killed.

After the party cleared the ship, and found the signet ring, they accompanied Lavinia to the family vault under Castle Teraknian. Inside the vault two Iron Cobras attacked. In the midst of dispatching them Gal pointed out Lavinia should just order the Cobras about. The Vanderborens need to replace an Iron Cobra.

Using the clues included with the signet ring, the party figured out the combination lock to the vault and opened it up. Most of the money was missing, but enough remained for Lavinia to keep the household going. As the party walked out, Lavinia questioned the clerk, who revealed that Vanthus has been coming in every week.
